Happy Blogiversary!!

Wow! I can't believe we've already completed a year! Thankful to God for bringing me this far! It seems like I was just working on my first post ever! This has been a year of experience and learning! A lot of times, I've had to step out of what is my comfort zone, and share with others what I would usually hide from. Like my sister Majah said "My actions and life no longer just affected me, but as well as all of those that believed in me. I couldn’t do things freely, but had to act with consideration of my audience, my mentees, and all of my supporters." No, I'm not perfect and I've often made mistakes, but I am who I am because of them. You live and you learn!

When starting Godly Gorgeous Girls, I envisioned a little girl like me. What I would have given to have someone give me a little guidance with life! I knew that if I helped hundreds or if I helped a single person, it would all be worth it!

If I'm being truly honest with myself, I didn't accomplish all that I wanted to this year. Life got a little busy and there was never enough time in a day. Of course there is always be room for improvement, especially for a perfectionist like me! There is so much more I should/could have done. I'm thankful for all the motivation and feedback from everyone thus far and I'm excited for all the new ideas I have for the upcoming year! Stick with me and I'll try my hardest not to disappoint! Thank you for all you guys support this far! Enjoy and explore our new page!

Camouflauge

The likelihood of catching an animal while wearing a highlighter yellow shirt decreases significantly than if you wore darker colors such as olive green, brown, etc. We all know that this disguise is commonly referred to as camouflage. When I asked Missionary Webster what camouflage meant, she gave 3 different definitions. Two described how it's something that is used to disguise the object. The definition that really stuck out to me was camouflage is something (such as color or shape) that protects an animal from attack by making the animal difficult to see in the area around it. I recognized us as the animal that has fear of attack. We, especially as teen girls, have an image that society created for us. This may cause us to become something that we are not. We don't want to be attacked for being different, but why? (Click The Title To Read More)

I'm going to start off by saying that if you are one of those people who make every single decision with your future in mind, this post is not for you. If you believe that you haven't made a mistake because every action you took lead you to your goals, this post is not for you. If you have never had a friendship/ relationship go downhill because of what was done, what was said, or better yet what wasn't said, this post is not for you. This post is for the people who have made mistakes, and/or are suffering the consequences of another's. (Click The Title To Read More)

Note To Self

As we all know, it's good to have encouragement from others. Maybe we have that one person that we go to for what we need or want to hear. It's good to have someone like that, but sometime you only have you. It's you, God and that's all you got. You have to learn to encourage yourself, and pray yourself through situations.(Click The Title To Read More)
